Punjabi actor Deep Sidhu said that the farmers were asked to march towards the Red Fort, but he and his supporters did not remove the national flag.

Deep Sidhu is a Punjabi actor and filmmaker born in Muktsar. Sidhu came into the limelight after winning the King Fisher Model Hunt and later became Grasim Mr. Personality and Grasim Mr. Talented. Leaving the world of modeling, she started working as a legal consultant with the Sahara India Pariwar. Also, Balaji was also the legal advisor of Telefilms for three and a half years.
Deep Sidhu entered politics from 2019 general elections and campaigned for BJP MP from Gurdaspur Sunny Deol. His first film was ‘Ramta Jogi’ in 2015, however, he got recognition from the 2018 release ‘Zora Das Nambria’.
Reacting after his protest started on Tuesday, he said that I did not remove the national flag. He said that ‘Nishan Sahib’ was placed on the Red Fort as a symbolic protest. For example, the ‘Nishan Sahib’ flag symbolizing Sikhism is seen in all gurdwara premises. In a video posted on Facebook, Sidhu said, “To symbolically oppose our protest against the new farmers law, we put up the ‘Nishan Sahib’ and the peasant flag and raised the slogan of Kisan Mazdoor Ekta”. Sidhu clarified that The ‘Nishan Sahib’ flag represents the country’s “unity in diversity”. The ‘Nishan Sahib’ consists of a ‘khand’, a two-edged sword, a chakra, a disc, and two kirpans that hold each other on the handle.
