Noida. Jewar Airport will be the largest international airport in the country, built on the banks of Yamuana Expressway. But with this, a workshop MRO (Maintenance Repairing and Overhauling) is also being built here to repair the country’s largest airplane. Due to this, the proposal to construct 2 not 5 runways at Jewar Airport has passed. Significantly, the work of repairing the engines of airplanes (Aeroplan) is mostly done in Singapore, Sri Lanka and other European countries. But now this step of the government will give a big relief to the Air Aviation companies and there will also be economic savings.

According to experts, 1365 acres of land will be needed to construct 3 more runways. The UP government has given its approval in the cabinet meeting to acquire the land. The construction of the first phase will cost Rs 29500 crore. At the same time, the cost of construction of the second phase will come to Rs 31114 crore.

PwC was given the responsibility by Niall (Noida International Airport Limited) to prepare the Technical Feasibility Report (TEFR) for the construction of the second phase. According to the PwC report, the construction of the second phase of Noida Airport will begin in 2042.

If we talk about the joining of Jewar Airport with the rail line, then the path of Greater Noida Metro Line has already been cleared. But with this, the proposed bullet train between Delhi and Varanasi, the important rail service of the country, is also being connected to Jewar Airport. The special thing is that the link of this project with Jewar Airport is also included in the DPR.
