Tractor manufacturer Sonalika breaks all sales records, Tata-Hyundai-Maruti vehicles boom in January

The company had never sold so many tractors in the month of January. During this time Sonalika sold 10,158 tractors. At the same time, in January 2020, the company sold a total of 7,220 tractors. Of these, 8,154 tractors were sold in the domestic market, while in January 2020, 5,585 tractors were sold in India.

Maruti’s sales increased, Mahindra & Mahindra sold fewer vehicles
Apart from Sonalika, sales of top auto brands have been registered since the first month of the year. Maruti Suzuki India has recorded a jump of 4.3 per cent in sales. Apart from this, sales of Hyundai and Tata Motors have also increased. However, Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) sales declined by 25 per cent during this period. Maruti Suzuki India has sold 1,60,752 units in January 2021. In the same period last year, the company sold 1,54,123 vehicles. During this period, a total of 1,48,306 units were sold in the domestic market, which was 1,44,499 units in January 2020.

Hyundai sales up 16 percent and Tata Motors up 25 percent

According to Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL), a total of 60,105 units were sold in January 2021, an increase of 15.6 per cent over 52,002 vehicles sold in the same period last year. However, according to Hyundai, its exports have come down by 19 per cent. Tata Motors sold 47,862 units in January 2020, which rose by 25.27 per cent to 59,959 units in January 2021. According to the company, sales of its passenger trains increased by 94 percent to 26,978 units. However, according to the company, sales of its commercial vehicles have fallen by 3 percent.
