Mumbai. If there is any star in Bollywood who has spoken very openly about his opinions and ideas, it is Kangana Ranaut. The ‘Dhakad’ fame star never shied away from talking on issues affecting the society and even in the early days of her career, Kangana shared her thoughts on feminism and the character of women on the screen in Bollywood.

Recently, the Dhakad star shared a video clip of her with Aamir Khan from the 2014 show ‘Satyamev Jayate Season 3’, in which she is seen opposite Deepika Padukone and Parineeti Chopra. In the clip, Kangana is seen talking about the wrong portrayal of women on the big screen.

Kangana retweeted a video from an episode of Aamir’s 2014 show. In the clip, Kangana is seen sharing her thoughts on how cinema affects society. She cites the example of William Shakespeare, who wrote Dark Storries and characters with positive effects.

Kangana says that in Indian films, it is shown that men are portrayed as tees to women. He said that the women in the film are being called ‘Tandoori Chicken’ and this is a ‘shameful’ depiction of women in Indian cinema.

Later in the same video clip, Aamir asked Deepika about her perspective, the Padmavat fame actress said that, she has heard that cinema always has a huge impact on society, but he ‘never takes it seriously’. Till now they were discussing about it. She said that in future, she will probably be more careful.

While sharing the tweet, Kangana wrote, ‘See this, many years ago, since the early twenties, I have been teaching Bollywood to Feminism. Listen to all the incoming Liberal feminists, we have been the principal of the school where you study.
