North East India: Union Minister Dr. Harsh Vardhan assured that his ministry will provide all possible assistance in developing RIMS as a best health care center not only in the North East but also in the country. The Ministry of Health is giving priority to the development of health facilities in the region. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Central Government is committed to the overall development of the region.

On this occasion, Lok Sabha member RK Ranjan Singh of Manipur Inner Parliamentary Constituency (Inner Manipur Lok Sabha), Rajya Sabha MP Maharaja Sanjaoba and RIMS Director Prof A Shanta Singh and other dignitaries were present.
Dr. Harsh Vardhan in RIMS’s Jubilee Hall in his address to complete the infrastructure projects despite the difficulties encountered in getting equipment during the difficult period of COVID-19 (COVID-19), especially importing Tesla MRI machine. The officers appreciated.
The timely completion of projects demonstrates the commitment of the administration of RIMS. He made tireless efforts to provide best health services to the people of the region. The Union Minister assured that his ministry will provide all possible assistance in developing RIMS as a best health care center not only in the North East but also in the country. . Dr. Harsh Vardhan said that a major increase in the Union Budget for Health Services, Sanitation and Drinking Water Services will strengthen the health system in the coming years and will help in achieving the goal of good health of the people. He also said that the Center has decided to set up 75 new medical colleges in remote districts where people have been facing problems for many years and are deprived of health education and other facilities.
The establishment of Chuda-Chandpur Medical College in Manipur and Mon Medical College in Nagaland are part of the Central Government’s initiative. The foundation stone of the Medical College of Mon was laid by the Union Minister on Saturday. The Union Minister said that the Prime Minister himself is monitoring the progress of the development plans of the region.
Earlier, Lok Sabha member RK Ranjan said that the inclusion of the Department of Nuclear Medicine in RIMS will not only facilitate cancer treatment for the state and other northeastern states, but will save a lot of money for patients with a large amount of treatment. Rajya Sabha MP Maharaja Sanjaoba said that RIMS has the potential to become a premier medical institution not only for North East India but for the entire South East Asia.
