Petroleum Secretary Tarun Kapoor said on Sunday that in the next two years, the government will provide free LPG connections to one crore more needy people.

New Delhi. In the present time, the use of LPG Gas Cylinder (LPG Gas Cylinder) for cooking in the city as well as in the village has increased significantly. At the same time, the central government’s plan is to provide more than one crore free LPG gas connections in the next two years.

In fact, Petroleum Secretary Tarun Kapoor said on Sunday that the government will give one crore more LPG gas connections to the needy in the next two years. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, while presenting the budget this year, announced to provide LPG gas connections to one crore more people under the Ujjwala Yojana.

LPG subscribers reach 29 crore
In an interview to news agency PTI, Kapoor said that in just four years, a record eight crore free LPG connections were given in the homes of poor women, which increased the number of LPG consumers in the country to nearly 29 crore. He said that the government is working day and night to get rid of domestic pollution in the rural areas and improve the health of women. He informed that consumers would soon get an option to get a refill cylinder from three dealers in their neighborhood instead of being tied to only one distributor.

Take advantage of this scheme in this way
Under Ujjwala scheme, any woman from BPL family can apply to get gas connection. For this, filling the KYC form and submitting it to the nearest LPG center. While applying, you have to tell whether you want a cylinder of 14.2 kg or five kg. You can download the form of the Ujjwala scheme from the website of the Prime Minister Ujjwala scheme or it will also be found from the LPG center. Documents like BPL card, Ration card, Aadhar card, Voter ID card, Passport size photo, Ration card, Bank statement are necessary to take advantage of this scheme.
