New Delhi. Sweden’s furniture giant IKEA (IKEA) is preparing to increase the purchase of toys from India to expand its operations here. The company currently has more than 1,000 products under the Kids Range. IKEA India aims to achieve 12 per cent of its sales from the kids range in the following years.

Kavita Rao, commercial manager of IKEA India in India, said, “Right now we are buying only the soft toys of cotton from India. Now the company is preparing to expand in the category of wooden toys etc. ”

The company joined the Toy Fair of IndiaIkea took part in India’s Toy Fair. The company is looking to partner with many companies in India’s toy segment. Asked if IKEA would increase the purchase of toys from India, Rao said definitely. This is the main reason why we joined the Toy Fair.

IKEA to open stores in Noida, invests over Rs 5000 crore in UP
At the same time, IKEA’s store is going to open in Noida. In this regard, an MoU was recently signed between the Yogi government and IKEA. According to the information, IKEA will invest five and a half thousand crores in Noida. She will buy 850 crores of land from the UP government. UP will get a revenue of 56 crores in stamp duty only from the sale of this land.
