Maruti’s car sold in February – Maruti’s total sales in the month of February stood at 1.64 lakh units, up 11.8 percent year-on-year. Whereas in the month of February last year, the company had sold 1.47 vehicles. In February, the company’s exports grew by 11.9 percent to 11,486 units. Whereas in February of last year, the company exported 10,261 units.

In February, the company’s domestic sales grew by 11.8 per cent to 1.52 units. Which was 1.36 lakh units in February last year. In February, the company’s passenger car sales grew by 6.1 percent to 1.05 lakh units. Which was 99,871 lakh units in February last year. On a month-on-month basis, the company’s total sales have increased by 2.5 percent. Explain that in January, the company had sold 1.60 lakh vehicles. Bajaj Auto’s sale in February – In February, Bajaj Auto’s total sales grew 6 percent year-on-year to 3.75 lakh units. In the month of February last year, the company sold 3.54 units. There has been a decline in domestic sales in February. It has fallen by 2 per cent to 1.64 lakh units. Whereas in February last year, the company sold 1.68 lakh vehicles. The company saw a good growth in exports in February. During this period, the company’s exports grew by 13 per cent to 2.10 lakh units. Which was 1.86 lakh units in January last year.

In February, 3-wheeler sales have shown weakness and it has been reduced by 5 per cent to 42,454 units. Whereas in February last year, the company had sold 44,691 units. At the same time, the company’s two-wheeler sales have increased by 7 percent in the second quarter and it has reached 3.32 lakh units. At the same time, in February last year, the company sold 3.10 lakh units. On a month-on-month basis, the company’s total sales have seen a decline of 11.8 percent and it has come down from 4.05 lakh units in January to 3.75 units in February.

Increase in sales of escorts – Total sales of escorts in February were 11,230 units with a strong growth of 30.6 per cent year-on-year. Which was 8,601 units in the month of February last year. However, in February, the company’s exports fell by 2.2 per cent year-on-year and this was down to 540 units from 552 units in February last year.
