Uttarakhnad News: The Champawat police of Uttarakhand (Uttarakhand) arrested Pradip Kumar Asthana, the chief mastermind of the chit fund non-banking finance company scam, from Lucknow.
According to SP Singh, the surveillance cell was put on surveillance by the Champawat police alerting the informers for the capture of the chief mastermind of the said scam. For information regarding the kingpin, contact was made with other districts and territories. On Saturday, the police arrested Pradeep Kumar Asthana, the mastermind of the scam, Police Station Vibhuti Khand, Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. The SP said that the accused is being brought to Champawat and questioned by him and preparations are being made for legal action.
40 cases filed
SP Singh said that in the initial investigation, about 30 to 40 cases of fraud worth crores of rupees have been registered against the accused in Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh. Explain that Inspector General of Police Champawat SP Lokeshwar Singh has been appointed by Inspector General of Police, Kumaon Region Ajay Rautela, in connection with the non-banking finance company scam in Pithoragarh, Bageshwar, Almora and Champawat districts. Police is expected to get a major breakthrough in the case soon.
