Sales of medicines from the Prime Minister of India Jan Aushadhi Kendras (PMBJK) have also increased by 60 percent in the first half of this financial year. Who can open Jan Aushadhi Center
The first condition for opening a Jan Aushadhi center under this scheme of the government is that if a person wants to open a Jan Aushadhi center, he should have a degree in D Pharma or B Pharma. If he wants to open a public health center and give employment to someone, even then he must have this degree. That is, it is mandatory to submit the degree as proof while applying.
- Any person or businessman, hospital, NGO, pharmacist, doctor, and medical practitioner can apply to open a medicine center under PMJAY.
- Under PMJAY, up to Rs 50,000 medicine advance is given to SC, ST and Divyang applicants for opening a drug center.
- A drugstore is opened in the name of Prime Minister Bhartiya Jan Aushadhi Kendra.
- According to the guidelines, 20 percent margin on the sale of the drug will be given to the shopkeepers at the opening of Janadhidhi center. Apart from this, there is also a provision for normal and special incentives.

How much space do you need
If you also want to apply for Janaushadhi center, then you should have at least 120 square feet covered area for the shop. If the government approves to open a Jan Aushadhi center on your application, then more than 650 medicines as well as more than 100 devices will be made available for sale by the government.
Government gives aid
If you want to open a medical store under this scheme, then you do not need to make any kind of investment. It costs about 2.5 lakh rupees to open a Jan Aushadhi center. For this, government assistance of Rs 2.5 lakh is given by the government. To open a medical store under the scheme, first you have to buy medicines worth Rs 1 lakh. Later it will be reimbursed by the government on a month-by-month basis. The government will help you up to one lakh for the infrastructure that it takes to start a shop, i.e. racks, desks, etc. The amount spent in furniture will be returned to you by the government in six months. To open a Jan Aushadhi Center, 50 thousand rupees to be spent on computers etc. will also be given by the government.
