Let us know that in PNB, the merger of two state-owned banks – Oriental Bank of Commerce (OBC) and United Bank of India (UBI) has been done. The merger has been held at PNB since 1 April 2020. Their customers have now joined PNB. After this merger, it has become the second largest public sector bank. After this, customers of these banks have now been asked to get a new checkbook and IFSC and MICR code. Explain that after the merger in PNB, all the branches of United Bank of India and Oriental Bank of Commerce are now functioning as branches of PNB. The bank has more than 11,000 branches and more than 13,000 ATMs now functioning.
