Toyota India launched the Urban Cruiser in 2020 in India.
Toyota India has recalled 9,498 units of the Urban Cruiser due to a malfunction in the driver’s side airbag module. This problem is coming in vehicles made from July 28, 2020 to February 11, 2021.

Authorized dealers of the company will contact the owners of the Faulty airbag problem SUV. If there is any flaw in the vehicle then necessary changes will be made. If replacement is needed, registration of the vehicles will be done. Customers can also contact their nearest dealer directly for more information about this. Toyota Motor launched the four-meter compact SUV Urban Cruiser in the Indian market in September 2020. The Urban Cruiser SUV is a 1.5 liter 4 cylinder aspirated petrol engine vehicle. It generates 105bhp power and 138Nm torque.

The engine of this Toyota SUV comes with a 5-speed manual and 4-speed torque converter gearbox. Hybrid technology has also been included in its automatic variants. Its manual version gives a mileage of 17.03 km per liter and automatic variants up to 18.76 km per liter. The Urban Cruiser gets dual tone shades, chrome roof rails, body color ORVM, faux skid front skate plate with new bumpers and 16-inch diamond cut alloy wheels. The interior of the Toyota Urban Cruiser has the Toyota logo on the steering wheel and a new black and brown dual color tone theme. It features 7 inch touchscreen infotainment system, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, climate control, auto dimming IRVM, control button on steering, smart entry with engine push start / stop, smartphone navigation.
