Rudraprayag that the district court has sentenced five people, including the victim’s mother and a hotel owner in the city, to a ten-year sentence in a case of forcibly trading a minor daughter. Also, the court has imposed a fine on all.
The minor victim had told the police that her mother, along with other people, forcibly traded her body and took money in lieu of it. This work is being done in a hotel in Rudraprayag city for the past many times. The police had registered the case under the POSCO Act on the basis of the victim’s tahrir. During the investigation, the accused were interrogated, in which the allegations were confirmed.

Now in this case, the court of District Judge Harish Goyal on Thursday sentenced the hotel merchant Mahesh Khanna to ten years imprisonment and fine of ten thousand rupees in the case of posco and immoral work. The victim’s mother Sarala Devi has been sentenced to ten years rigorous imprisonment and a fine of five hundred and one thousand rupees on charges of posco and immoral act. Bina Devi, who was involved in this case, was also sentenced to ten years imprisonment and Fifteen hundred rupees have been sentenced to fine. Prakash Rana and Rajendra Bhandari, who were included in the work, have also been sentenced to ten years of imprisonment and fine. All the punishments will run concurrently. District government advocate Sudarshan Chaudhary, on behalf of the government, advocated the case.
