Mahakumbh is held every twelve years at each of these places, which fills the Ganga water flowing from the Kumbh site with medicinal properties. These days, touching the Ganges water attains immortality. Hindus have special faith in this Mahakumbh coming every twelve years. However, foreign devotees belonging to other religions also consider bathing in Kumbh, considering the importance of Kumbh Snan. Ardhakumbha is also organized in a gap of six years between the two Mahakumbhas. It is believed that bathing in the holy river passing through the Kumbh Mela area, during this time, removes all sins from human beings and opens the way for his salvation.
