Uttarakhand Police will get modern weapons, farewell to 3 not 3.
3 not 3 rifles are being retired from Uttarakhand police personnel. In lieu of these heavy weapons, SLRs will be delivered to the jawans with pistols and insas. Due to which police personnel will also get facility. There was a demand from Uttarakhand Police for many years.
DGP Ashok Kumar says that the city police will be given a pistol which will reach the state by the last week of April. About 1 thousand pistols will be received by the city police of the state, which will be purchased soon. In the coming financial year, after purchasing this, the pistol will be given to the employees working in all the city duties in the urban area of the state. Also, the situation in the countryside will be seen by the police with SLR with light weapon insas. For which the INSAS and SLR rifle withdrawn from the army will get a place.
In fact, the Three Not Three era of British rule has also been given away. Its number is about 8 thousand. In place of Three Note Three, now the INSAS and SLR rifle used in the Indian Army will get space, which will come to Uttarakhand in the first phase, about eight hundred. For which a budget of about 5 crores has been sought from the Central Government under Police Modnisation.
