EY FICCI’s Media Entertainment Report-2021 states that the growth in viewership of Prasar Bharati’s free-to-air DTH service is mainly due to cheap television sets, economic issues and DT Retro. The channel is to start and big broadcasters will return to the free dish platform. The report says that DD Free Dish is on the path of strong growth. Its number of customers has crossed 40 million.
