Facebook has blocked the Facebook account of Nicolas Maduro, the President of Venezuela. Maduro is accused of spreading misleading information about Corona. This block will remain for the next 30 days.

Caracas. Facebook has blocked the page of Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro over misinformation about the Corona virus. Earlier, Maduro had described the celery drug Carvativir as a miraculous drug for this epidemic. The Facebook spokesperson said that we follow the guidelines of the World Health Organization (WHO). According to WHO, there is no drug for corona virus right now.

Maduro claimed, without any medical evidence, that Carvativir was miraculous in the fight against the drug Corona virus. The Facebook spokesperson said that due to repeated violations of the rules, we are blocking the account of the President of Venezuela for 30 days. During this time, his account can only be read. The Facebook spokesperson also said that Maduro’s controversial video has been removed due to a violation of the rules regarding the corona virus. People’s life could be in danger with this video. In this video Maduro was claiming that with just a few drops on the tongue of the drug Carvativir, the corona miraculously ends and there is no side effect.

The President of Venezuela has already strongly criticized Facebook regarding Carvativir. He said who is in charge of Venezuela, I or WHO? Who owns Facebook? Who is in charge of the world? Does it own Facebook? Venezuela’s Ministry of Information has not commented on President Maduro’s page being blocked.
