There has been a stir after the arrival of 83 Corona patients at Taj Hotel in Rishikesh area and 32 at Geeta Kutir Ashram in Haripur Kalan. Both hotspots fall in the Kumbh Mela area, so the corona crisis has started looming on Mahakumbh.

Haridwar. The ever increasing cases of corona in the Kumbh Mela area are raising the concern of the fair administration. There has been a stir after the arrival of 83 Corona patients at Taj Hotel in Rishikesh area and 32 at Geeta Kutir Ashram in Haripur Kalan. Both hotspots fall in the Kumbh Mela area, so the corona crisis has started looming on Mahakumbh. The ashram has been sealed after Bhupatwala got 32 corona infected together in Geeta cottage. Kumbh Mela Health Officer Dr. Arjun Singh Sengar says that the number of testing has been increased in view of the increasing cases of corona. The arrival of devotees has begun before the royal bath on 12 April. Special attention will be given to the screening of devotees who have suspected symptoms of the disease and their tests will be done. He has also said to strictly follow the Corona Guidelines of social distancing, masks etc. in the Kumbh Mela area.

50 thousand test instructions
On behalf of the central government’s epidemic watchdog NCDC, the fair administration has been instructed to check 50,000 corona everyday. Sanger says that the number of probe kiosks and investigations is being increased. Tests will be done as much as possible. Appeals have also been made to the hotel, Dharamshala and ashram operators that all those who are staying with them, must do their thermal screening and rapid antigen test.
