Named e-commerce warriors on behalf of the trade organization CAT (CAIT), will act as guidance to local traders. These warriors have been advised to work with local trade associations in each of the 100 cities. These warriors can use the technology to easily connect local merchants to the India e-Market Portal (BEM Portal).

In such a situation, small traders have been forced to change their business strategy. Traders recently launched their e-commerce portal ‘bharat e-market’. Now, to give it an edge, traders have named 100 merchant leaders from 100 cities of the country as ‘E-Commerce Warriors’. These e-commerce warriors will encourage local merchants to create e-shops on the India e-Market portal.

100 e-commerce warriors nominated by CAT will work under the guidance of local traders. These warriors have been advised to work with local trade associations in each of the 100 cities. The job of these warriors will be to cooperate in connecting local traders with BEM portal easily using technology. These leaders will go from one association to another in their respective cities and tell the traders how they can easily be onboard on the BEM portal. Let us know that on 11 March 2021, CAT launched the Vendor Onboarding App in Delhi. According to the data, so far more than one lakh traders have registered themselves on the BEM portal.

CAT General Secretary Pravin Khandelwal has claimed that in the first week of April 2021, a consumer registration app will be launched simultaneously in all the state capitals of Delhi and the country. Not only this, e-commerce portal Bharat e-market will be launched by May 2021 to give wings to small business. CAT has targeted to onboard 7 lakh vendors on the BEM portal by December 2021. Not only this, around 40 thousand trade federations will also be established across the country.
