25 percent tax rebate will be given on buying a new car
Yesterday, under the vehicle scrappage policy, the central government has issued a draft notification. According to this draft, the buyer of a new vehicle with a vehicle scraping certificate will get a rebate of up to 25 percent (tax rebate on new car) on the motor vehicle tax.
Let us tell you that according to the draft notification issued by Road Transport and Highway, there will be a 25 percent rebate in road tax on the purchase of a personal vehicle with a vehicle scraping certificate. At the same time, there will be a 15 percent rebate in tax on purchasing commercial vehicle.

Discounts will be available for up to 15 yearsAccording to the draft notification, you can get a discount of 25 percent on purchasing a passenger vehicle with a scraping certificate and 15 percent on purchasing a commercial vehicle. According to the government’s notification, the commercial vehicle will get tax exemption for 8 years. Whereas, on purchasing a personal vehicle, you will get tax rebate for 15 years from the date of registration.
Government asked for suggestions
The government has sought suggestions from all the people involved in this matter within 30 days. The government said that if someone scrapes a car that is more than 15 years old, then a vehicle scraping certificate will be issued.
