From Nandprayag in Chamoli, a 19 meter long road 6 meters wide goes to Ghat Bazaar.

Chief Minister Tirath Singh Rawat had shown a positive attitude towards widening the route of Nandprayag Ghat area of Chamoli as soon as he took power on March 10. They had returned the cases against Andonakar. Now the Chief Minister has fulfilled the wishes of the villagers.

Dehradun. The road to which the demand for widening of the Nandraprayag Ghat area of Chamoli submerged the Trivendra Rawat government, the same road has been announced by the Tirath Rawat government to widen one and a half lanes with immediate effect. The Chief Minister said that for him, the public is the highest. Whatever the public wants and what is in the public interest will be done. Every possible work will be done in public interest. From Nandprayag in Chamoli, a 19 meter long road 6 meters wide goes to Ghat Bazaar. Villagers of about 70 villages are connected by this road. The villagers here had been demanding that the road should be one and a half lanes ie 9 meters wide since December 2020. But, the Trivandra Rawat government did not pay attention to it. In February this year, the villagers here also protested by creating a 19-km long human chain, but the government still did not accept the demand.

The outraged villagers arrived in many trains from the ghat area to encircle the budget session that started in Garsain on March 1. The police stopped them in Diwali Khal. Where the police and agitation personnel clashed during the protest and the police lathi-charged the agitators with water splashes.

This was the first incident that increased the speed of countdown of Trivandra Rawat government’s departure. The Trivandra government set up a magistrate inquiry overnight but did not even announce the widening of the route. On the contrary, in the morning, the activists were also sued on the agitators. This led to a lot of criticism of the government in the entire state. And just after that, on March 4, the announcement of the non-commissioned commissioner completed the right task. MLAs and ministers inside the party shouted in front of the high command.

Chief Minister Tirath Singh Rawat showed a positive attitude on this route as soon as he took power on March 10. They had returned the cases against Andonkar. And on Thursday, the Chief Minister completed the request of villagers seeking widening of Nandprayag Ghat. In fact, this road connecting the block headquarters technically does not meet the standard of one and a half lane road. . For a one and a half lane road, the traffic load should be at least 3000 vehicles per day. The traffic load on this road is only 350 vehicles per day. Chief Minister Tirath Singh Rawat may have announced to increase it to one and a half lanes, but earlier on March 30, he had also issued orders to widen the ten kilometers of this road to single lane. For this, an amount of four and a half crores was also released but the agitators of the ghat were not satisfied with it. Therefore, on Thursday, the CM announced to widen it by one and a half lanes.
