Varuni Yog 2021 Timing Significance: When there is Shatataraka i.e. Shatabhisha Nakshatra on the day of Chaitra Krishna Trayodashi, then Varuni Yoga is formed, in which the results of bathing are more than bathing during the eclipse period. Yajna performed in Varuni Yoga is equivalent to thousands of yagyas.
Varuni Yoga is of three types- 1. If Chaitra Krishna Trayodashi is the Waruna Nakshatra i.e., Satabhisha, then Waruni Yoga is made. 2. If Chaitra Krishna Trayodashi is Shatabhisha Nakshatra and Saturday, then Mahavaruni Yoga is formed. 3. If Chaitra Krishna Trayodashi is called Shatabhisha Nakshatra, Saturday and auspicious, then Maha Mahavaruni Yoga is formed. In this fast, Lord Sri Hari i.e. Lakshmipati Vishnu is worshiped.
In the Varuni fast, the devotee Lakshmipati Vishnu will resolve the fast on the Varuni festival to please the Lord and wake up before sunrise in the morning and take a bath and offer prayers to the Lord. After this, worship will be done by Shodashopachara or Panchopchar method. After this, Shri Paramatman will chant the Namah Mantra. Importance of Varuni Yoga:
According to mythological beliefs, bathing and donations in Ganga and other holy rivers have special significance in Varuni Yoga.
