The Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) said that more than 85 crore doses of Sputnik V vaccine will be produced in India every year. India has approved limited emergency use of Sputnik V for the prevention of corona virus infection.
The RDIF said in a statement that the use of the vaccine has been approved in countries with nearly three populations and India is the 60th country to have approved Sputnik V. The statement said that India is the largest country to adopt this vaccine in terms of population and it is also the leader in the production of Sputnik V. DCGI has approved limited emergency use of Sputnik V with certain conditions.

Sputnik V is the third vaccine used against the Corona virus in India. Earlier in January, DCGI approved the emergency use of the Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine covicshield and Bharat Biotech’s Kovachen, manufactured by the Serum Institute of India in Pune. Because extensive cooperation is developing between the two countries regarding the clinical trials of Sputnik V and its local production. He said that the Russian vaccine has an impact of up to 91.6 percent and provides complete protection against serious cases of Kovid-19, according to data published in leading medical journal The Lancet.
