Ramadan 2021: In this month of Remembrance-Barkat, every Muslim wishes to keep fast, to perform Worship. But diabetes patients should keep fast only after consulting a doctor.

Ramadan 2021: The month of Ramadan is considered very important in Muslim society. Roza is a duty on every Muslim. It is done in the morning for Rosa and is opened in Iftar in the evening. In this month of Rehmat-Barkat, every Muslim wishes to keep fast and worship Allah. At the same time, there are some questions about keeping fasting in the mind of some people. The question that often arises is can one fast for suffering from diabetes? If you can keep the fast, what should you do during the fast? How should the medicine be taken? Does a check for diabetes not break a fast? How should the food of the diabetic patient during Sehri and Iftar. There are all kinds of questions about it.

Keeping this in mind, several other speakers, including speakers at the JN Medical College’s Rajiv Gandhi Center for Diabetes and Endocrinology and Department of Medicine, held a seminar at the JN Medical College, Aligarh Muslim University (AMU). Some research suggests that internal fasting can be beneficial for health, but it can be dangerous for diabetics, so they should keep fast only after consulting a doctor.

Roza may have different effects on people with diabetes. People who have high diabetes and who often have low blood sugar, or who are pregnant and who have severe kidney disease. They should avoid fasting.

People suffering from diabetes should consult their doctor at least one month before Ramadan. The reason for this is that they may have to change or reduce their medication during Ramadan.

Diabetes patients should eat sparingly during Iftar and Sahri. They should avoid sugary drinks, fried foods and high carbohydrate foods. Apart from this, blood sugar should be checked during Rosa, it does not break Rosa.
