Raghuvir Lal, a resident of Gadoli village of Garsain, went to his fields. Meanwhile, seeing the fire in the nearby forest, he went to extinguish it. The raging fire amidst strong winds also caught Raghuveer in his grip and he was burnt to death before anyone could get help. This is not the first case of deaths due to forest fires in Uttarakhand. So far this year, eight people have died in the fire.

In the initial incident, mother-in-law and daughter-in-law were killed in Almora in the grip of forest fire. Wildlife and cattle are not counted at all. So far only 19 cattle have died in the records of the forest department, but this figure is far more. There is no record of wild animals. Photographs of daily cattle deaths from different regions of the state confirm that the forest department is hiding the statistics of deaths.

There have been so many incidents in Uttarakhand
So far, more than two thousand incidents of forest fire have taken place in Uttarakhand. More than 27 hundred hectares of forest area has come under fire. One and a half hectare plantation area has also been burnt. More than twelve thousand trees have been destroyed by burning. This is an official figure, while you can guess the reality. According to the forest department, so far 71 lakh damage has been done to the forest wealth. The forest department claims that it has put more than nine thousand man power to extinguish the fire. Apart from this, 38 personnel of NDRF and 35 soldiers of SDRF are also engaged in extinguishing the fire. Five thousand people are also helping from the forest panchayats. Despite this, the forests are continuously blazing.Helicopters also landed in the ground but…

The Forest Department also fielded Mi-17 helicopters in Uttarakhand for two days, but these proved to be more of the plot agenda. Due to the spread of smoke from the forest fire in Kumaon, Chaupar could not fill the flight, then two days of fire was extinguished in Garhwal. But how successful it was, it can be gauged from the fact that they were sent back after that. The forests are still blazing with fierce fire.
