Stock Market Today: National Stock Exchange of India (NSE) and BSE remained closed due to Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Jayanti on Wednesday 14 April. On Tuesday 13 April, Sensex closed at a level of 48,544.06 with a gain of 68.68 points, or 1.38 per cent.

At the same time, the Nifty closed at 14504.80 level with an increase of 194 points i.e. 1.36 per cent. In Tuesday’s session, except for IT and Pharma, all sectors indexes were seen to be rising. Banking, auto and metal stocks were seen to be strong.

Small, medium stocks were also traded in Tuesday trading. 37 out of 50 stocks of the Nifty were rising. At the same time, 23 out of 30 stocks of the Sensex were seen rising. All 12 stocks of Nifty Bank were up. The Nifty Bank closed up 980 points at 31,772. At the same time, the midcap closed 403 points at 23,517.
