Ingredients for Thekua Prasad
Wheat flour – 500 grams
Jaggery – 250 grams
Coconut – 1 cup grated
Oil – to fry
Ghee – 3 tbsp
Green cardamom – 10

Method of preparation of Thekua Prasad
-To make the Prasad Thakua of Chhath Puja, first break the jaggery into small pieces and after that heat these pieces and half a cup of water in a big pan. When it comes to a boil, stir with a spoon to check if the jaggery dissolves in water or not.
-If the jaggery has dissolved, then filter this solution with a sieve so that if any dirt is left then it becomes clean. Now mix pure desi ghee in jaggery water and keep it for a while so that it cools down.
Now add flour, cardamom and coconut powder in a clean utensil and knead a tight and dry dough with the help of jiggery solution. Your dough for making thekua is ready.
Now take out the dough from the dough and shape it lengthwise from the palm and place it in a thicker mold and give a slight pressure from the palm. Similarly, make the remaining pieces as well. To make the thekua, put desi ghee in a clean kadhai and heat it on a medium flame and fry the thekku in it.
– Keep in mind that the dish will be fried on low and medium heat so that it sinks to the inside. Fry the cloth till golden brown and then take it out from the pan. After this, put the clear paper in a plate and remove the dish one by one. Take your pukka prasadam ready for worship.
