Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Yojana
Under the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Yojana (PM Gareeb Kalyan Ann Yojana), the government has announced to give 5 kg free food grains per person per month for 2 months to 80 crore people.
To provide free food grains to the beneficiaries, the Government of India has decided to provide free food grains to 80 crore beneficiaries, similar to last year’s Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Yojana.
5 kg free grain per person
Under this scheme sanctioned by the government, 5 kg free grain per person per month will be given to about 80 crore people for 2 months. Government of India will spend more than Rs 26,000 crore on this initiative. After deciding this, PM Narendra Modi stressed that it is important that when the country is facing the second wave of Corona virus, the poor of the country should get nutritional support.Who will get more benefits
Ration card holders will get benefits under this scheme. If the names of 4 people are registered in your ration card, then everyone will get 5 5 kg i.e. total 20 kg of food grains. This grain will be different from the grains you get every month on ration cards. That is, if you get 5 kg of food grains on the ration card in a month, then in May and June you will get 5 + 5 i.e. 10 kg of food grains.
Know from where you can get ration
Under the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana, you will get these grains given in May and June from the same ration shop from where you have been taking food grains from the ration card.
The scheme was launched last year
The scheme was launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi during the lockdown imposed to prevent the outbreak of the Corona epidemic last year. All kinds of economic activities were stopped in the lockdown and migrant workers were returning to their homes. They should not have trouble for food, for this purpose, the Central Government started this scheme.
