From September 2020 to April 22, 2021, the steel industry has supplied 1,43,876.28 MT liquid medical oxygen (LMO).
Among the private sector companies that have supplied steel, Tata Steel, ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel India, JSW Steel, Jindal Steel and Power Ltd. And Vedanta ESL. At the same time, the public sector Steel Authority of India Ltd. (SAIL) AND NATIONAL STEEL CORPORATION LTD. (RINL) has also supplied oxygen.
Oxygen supply to many states from steel plant
Oxygen from the steel plant has been supplied to Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, Odisha, West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand, Delhi, Madhya Pradesh and other states.Also read- Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana: 80 crore beneficiaries will get benefit under PMGKAY
Tata Steel said on Thursday that it is supplying 300 tonnes of LMOs per day to various states. Meanwhile, AMNS India has increased its daily supply to 210 tonnes. JSW and JSPL have said that they are supplying 185 and 100 tonnes of oxygen per day respectively. RINL has said that it is supplying 100 tonnes of LMO per day. SAIL tweeted on Thursday that it is supplying 600 tonnes of oxygen on an average every day.
