Dehradun News: The National Wildlife Division and National Tiger Conservation Authority issued an alert on April 30 to all the states after the eight lions’ Kovid Positive (COVID-19) was found at Nehru Zoological Park, Hyderabad.

The two big zoos of the state located in Nainital and Dehradun of Uttarakhand have also been closed for tourist activity till May 15. Apart from this, the Cheela Situation Elephant Camp of Rajaji Tiger Reserve has also been alerted. There are six surplus elephants here. In Nainital, there are three tigers in the zoo and two lepards in the zoo in Dehradun. Apart from this, there are also a large number of other animals and birds. In an order issued by Uttarakhand Chief Wildlife Warden JS Suhag, it is said that after May 15, the immediate circumstances will be reviewed and a further decision will be taken. He said that the way the infection of Kovid is spreading rapidly. It can spread the virus from humans to animals anytime. Strict instructions given to employees In the order, instructions have been given to deploy only the necessary staff in Zoo or around the animal enclosure. Kovid test has been made mandatory for all employees who are in contact with wildlife. It has been said in the order that if possible, meat given to animals should also be Kovid-19 tested.
