The government has decided to extend the last date in view of the difficulties arising due to increasing Corona cases.
Bills for LTC Special Cash Package Scheme Scheme can now be deposited by 31 May. Earlier this date was 30th of April.
New Delhi. The last date for government employees to take advantage of LTC Special Cash Package Scheme has increased. According to the decision of the central government, now bills can be submitted for this till May 31. Earlier, the last date for this scheme was 30 April. The central government has decided to extend the last date in view of the difficulties arising due to increasing Corona cases. However, the scheduled date of making purchases for this scheme has not been changed on 31 March 2021. This will help those government employees who wanted to take advantage of this scheme but could not submit the bill within the stipulated period. Last year, the government announced this scheme after the travel ban and economy slowed down due to Corona. Its purpose was to promote consumption on the part of government employees and its benefits could be availed by 31 March this year. In the LTC Cash Voucher Scheme, there was a provision for giving advance to government employees in lieu of LTC rent and leave encashment. More than one bill can be accepted The purchase of goods could also be done in the name of the spouse of the government employee or any family member eligible for LTC rent. More than one bill could be accepted in this. The purchase could be made till March 31 this year after the order of the scheme was issued last year. There should be a Goods and Services Tax (GST) of 12 percent and more in the purchase and payment was made through online mode.
