New Delhi. Ford will recall more than 660,000 units of its explorer SUV, the company is recalling these units at the request of the US Safety Regulator. According to the US Safety Regulatory, there is something wrong with the retention pins connecting the roof rail cover of these SUVs to the vehicle, which may cause the roof rail cover to detach from the vehicle at any time. These units include models from the 2016 model to 2019, and about 620,483 units from the US, 36,419 units from Canada and 4,260 units from Mexico. Ford will start sending notifications to owners of these affected units from June 28 to recall these units. The company has asked its dealers to install push-pins and replace any defective rail clips and roof rail covers. These poor roof rail covers are painted with silver, black and absolute black color. After that, the US National Highway Traffic Safety asked the company to recall these vehicles, which the company denied, saying that it was not necessary. After this, Ford said that it is quite possible that the roof is separated from the vehicle due to its low weight, the company then said that the car drivers can check that the roof rail is loose or not.
