Morris Garage (MG Motor) recently launched its first electric SUV car MG ZS EV in India. The company has launched this car at an ex-showroom price of Rs 20.88 lakh. This is the price of the ‘Excite’ variant of the car. While the price of ‘Exclusive’ variant has been kept at Rs 23,58,000.

New Delhi. MG Motor India has joined hands with Etero for recycling electric vehicle (EV) batteries. MG Motor said in a statement on Friday that the objective of this partnership is to reuse and recycle the Li-ion batteries used in the JS EV units of the automakers after their expiry date. Noida-based Etero is the country’s leading electronic asset management company and clean technology provider. It manages the end usage of the battery.

Rajiv Chhaba, Chairman and Managing Director, MG Motor India said, “We are continuously expanding our ecosystem in the electric vehicle space. Partnering with Etero will give our customers more confidence in their battery life after its usage. This step will help in a responsible recycling. Along with this, the carbon emissions of JS EV users will also be reduced. MG Motor sells vehicles like Hector and Gloster in the Indian market. Apart from this, it also sells the ZS EV, which can accelerate from zero to 100 kmph in less than 8.5 seconds.

Apart from this, MG is also offering a discount of Rs 1 lakh to customers who have already booked the ZS EV. Customers who book the car till January 17 midnight will get the ‘Excite’ variant of MG ZS EV at a special price of Rs 19.88 lakh and the ‘Exclusive’ variant at a special price of Rs 22.58 lakh.
