Railways transported more than 19,408 tonnes of oxygen in the last one month

New Delhi. The country is currently battling the second wave of Coronavirus. Indian Railways is continuously making a major contribution in the fight against Corona. The Railways supplied 19408 tonnes of Liquid Medical Oxygen (LMO) through more than 1162 tankers in 39 cities across 15 states during the second wave of Kovid-19 last month. The railway gave its information on Friday.

Railways said that 289 Oxygen Express trains have completed their journey so far, while 11 more trains are traveling with 865 tonnes of oxygen in 50 tankers.

Oxygen express trains started supply on 24 April and Maharashtra got 126 tonnes of oxygen. The southern states include Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Telangana, where the Railways supplied one thousand tons of liquid medical oxygen to each state.

The 15 states where these trains reached include Uttarakhand, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Haryana, Telangana, Punjab, Kerala, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand and Assam.1.86 lakh cases of corona, 3660 patients died in 24 hours in the country

It is worth noting that according to the statistics of the Ministry of Health, in the last 24 hours, 1 lakh 86 thousand 364 new cases of corona have been reported in the country, while 3,660 patients have lost their lives during this period. After the arrival of new cases of corona, now the total number of infected patients in the country has increased to 2 crore 75 lakh 55 thousand 457.

According to the Ministry of Health, there are 23 lakh 43 thousand 152 active cases from Corona in the country so far, while 2 crore 48 lakh 93 thousand 410 people have recovered and gone to their homes. So far, 3 lakh 18 thousand 895 people have died from Corona in the country. Even in Maharashtra, there is a lot of relief from the corona.
