HMSI said on Saturday that it has resumed production at its manufacturing plants in India.
New Delhi. Two-wheeler maker Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India i.e. HMSI (Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India) on Saturday said that it has resumed production at its manufacturing plants in India. The company has three manufacturing plants in the country which include plants at Manesar (Haryana), Tapukara (Rajasthan) and Vithalapur (Gujarat).
The company also announced financial assistance for its authorized distributors affected by the complete lockdown. As part of the initiative, the company will bear the entire interest expense of the inventory of its distributors facing complete lockdown for 30 days or more.

The company’s President and CEO Atsuthi Ogata said in a statement, “We are gradually resuming production work following all the Kovid-19 compliance and lockdown guidelines of the respective state governments.” While things are showing signs of recovery in the country, we will continue to monitor the situation closely and move forward with the safety and well-being of all our stakeholders as top priority.

YS Guleria, Director (Sales and Marketing) of the company said about the help provided to the distributor community, that the company is proactively providing financial help to its distributors in this difficult time. Guleria said that he is hopeful that the company, which is facing complete lockdown for 30 days or more, will bear the entire interest cost of the inventory of its distributors, which will help them to reduce their worries about continuing business in the immediate future. .
