New Delhi. The Finance Ministry has recently announced the launch of a new Income Tax Portal. The Income Tax Department said on Saturday that on June 7, a new portal for filling income tax details will start e-filing 2.0. The purpose of the new portal is to increase convenience for taxpayers.
According to the Income Tax Department, it will be easy to use through mobile and pre-filled income tax details, ITR Income Tax Form and simple facilities will be made available on it. The department said in a tweet, “The Income Tax Department will launch a new e-filing portal http://incometax.gov.in on June 7, 2021. This portal will replace the existing http://incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in.

Existing portal will not be available from 1st to 6th June
The Income Tax Department has said that e-filing services will not be available from June 1 to 6 before the launch of the new portal. The department has advised the taxpayers to apply before or after these dates, if they want to get any response or service.
