The Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas has informed that now LPG customers will be able to get their LPG refilled from their nearest distributor. Also told that in the first phase, this facility will be made available to the customers of Chandigarh, Coimbatore, Gurugram, Pune and Ranchi.

In this episode, now Rasai gas consumers (LPG customers) are being given the freedom to choose their own gas distributor for LPG refill. The Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas has said that in the first phase, this facility will be made available to the customers of Chandigarh, Coimbatore, Gurugram, Pune and Ranchi. If the scheme is successful in these cities, it will be implemented in other cities of the country as well.

There was a reduction of Rs 122 in LPG cylinder

The price of LPG cylinder has been changed on 1st June 2021 only. With this, the price of Rasai Gas Cylinder (LPG) in the national capital has come down by Rs 122. However, there has been no change in the price of non-subsidised domestic LPG cylinders. This deduction has been made in the 19 kg cylinder. In May 2021, a 19 kg LPG cylinder was priced at Rs 1,595.50. According to Indian Oil, now its price in Delhi has gone up to Rs 1473.5.

Domestic cooking gas prices soared

There was no change in the price of 14 kg domestic LPG cylinder in May 2021. However, earlier in April 2021, the price of LPG cylinder was cut by Rs 10. Today the price of LPG cylinder in Delhi is Rs 809. The price of LPG cylinder in Delhi in January 2021 was Rs 694. In February 2021, its price was increased to Rs 719 per cylinder. Then on February 15, the price was increased to Rs 769. After this, on February 25, the price of LPG cylinder was reduced to Rs 794. The price of LPG cylinder was also increased in March 2021 and it reached Rs 819.
