Chana dal is used for the original gram flour. But to prepare fake gram flour, profiteers add up to 75 percent semolina, peas, rice powder, maize and khesari flour and artificial colors in 25 percent gram flour. Along with this, gram flour is prepared by mixing artificial colors in wheat flour.

Identify with hydrochloric acid

You can use hydrochloric acid to test whether gram flour is real or fake. For this, take two spoons of gram flour in a bowl and make a paste by mixing two spoons of water in it. Now add two spoons of hydrochloric acid to it and leave it for five minutes. After some time, if red color appears in the gram flour, then understand that the gram flour has been adulterated.

How to identify with lemon

To check whether gram flour is adulterated or not, you take two spoons of gram flour. Now add two spoons of lemon juice to it. Also add two spoons of hydrochloric acid to it. Leave it for some time. After some time if the gram flour appears red or brown in color then it means that the gram flour is fake.
