ATHER’s electric scooter becomes cheaper, know how much the prices have come down

New Delhi: The Indian government had made people aware of using electric vehicles more. For more use of electric vehicles, the government has revised its FAME 2 scheme, under which the government is now giving more subsidy on domestic electric two wheelers. After giving subsidy, the price of Ather 450X scooter of Bangalore-based electric vehicle manufacturer Ather Energy has seen a reduction of Rs 14,500.

This fall in the price of the scooter is due to the new revision made by the Department of Heavy Industries in manufacturing hybrid and electric vehicles. Giving information, CEO of Ather Energy said that the amendment made in the FAME policy of the government, increasing the subsidy by 50% per KWh can be seen as an unprecedented step. After getting this subsidy, there can be a boom in the sale of electric two wheelers.

For your information, let us tell you that earlier the subsidy on vehicles was 10 thousand rupees per kWh, which has now been reduced by the government to 15 thousand rupees per KWh. After getting the subsidy, now the new price of Ather 450X electric scooter has gone up to Rs 1,32,426, which used to be Rs 1,46,926 earlier. However, its new price has not been updated on the company’s website yet.

FEATURES AND ENGINE
The company has used Android based user interface in this scooter. Through which users can use features like Bluetooth connectivity, call receive, music and navigation.

The company has used an electric motor with 6kW power in it, which generates a peak torque of 26Nm. This electric scooter has a battery pack of 2.9 kwh. The scooter is capable of accelerating from 0 to 40 kms in just 3.41 seconds. The top speed of this scooter is 80 kmph. In a single charge, this scooter can be driven up to 116 km.
