Badrinath National Highway has been closed between Gulabkoti and Kaudiya in Chamoli district. On the other hand, according to the Meteorological Department, a red alert has been issued for heavy rains in three districts on Friday.
The Meteorological Department, while expressing the possibility of extremely heavy rains in Nainital, Champawat and Pithoragarh on Friday, had said that there is a possibility of heavy rain in Chamoli, Bageshwar, Udham Singh Nagar districts. The Meteorological Department had also issued a red alert for these districts. ANI said in its tweet that Badrinath Highway in Chamoli has been closed and efforts are being made to clear the debris there.
