Shareholders of the two listed companies of the debt-ridden Videocon Group will not get anything after the listing ends. The liquidation value of these two companies of Videocon group alone is not sufficient to cover the outstanding debt. Videocon Industries Limited (VIL) and Values ​​Industries Limited will be delisted from the stock market as part of the approved resolution plan for the insolvent Videocon Group.

The firms said in a public notice on Friday that no offer would be made to any shareholder of the two companies at the time of delisting of their shares. Under SEBI rules, a company that wants to be delisted from the stock exchanges has to make an offer to the existing shareholders including public shareholders.

Values ​​Industries Limited (VIL) said, the liquidation value of the Videocon group company alone is not sufficient to repay the debt of the financial creditors of the company, hence the liquidation value of the equity shareholders is ‘nil’. Hence they will not be entitled to receive any payment. The company further said that the equity shareholders of Videocon Group are, therefore, not required to surrender their shares to the successful resolution applicant.
