Maruti Suzuki has slashed the prices of its ambulance vans, the company announced during its regulatory filing with the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) and stated that the company’s eco vehicle will cost Rs 88,000 as per the changed GST rates. is cut. According to the revised GST rates released by the Finance Ministry, the GST rates on items related to Kovid-19 have been reduced. In view of this reduction in GST rates, the country’s largest automaker Maruti Suzuki recently announced a reduction in the prices of the ambulance version of its Eco van. The new prices are as per Revised GST, which has been reduced from 28% to 12%. The revised cost of the Maruti Suzuki Eeco Ambulance is ₹ 6.16 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). This reduction in GST rates will be valid till 30 September 2021.

Recently, at the 44th GST Council meeting chaired by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, GST rates for COVID-19 relief and related supplies such as hand sanitisers, pulse oximeters, BiPAP machines, testing kits, ambulances and temperature testing equipment have been revised. After the decision taken in the 44th meeting of the GST Council, the ambulance has been removed from the category of luxury item. Due to which now the GST of only 12 percent will have to be paid instead of 28 percent on the purchase of a new ambulance. Let us tell you that earlier ambulances were considered a luxury item.

In a regulatory filing, Maruti Suzuki said that the cost of the Eco Ambulance will come down by Rs 88,000 as per the revised GST rates released by the Finance Ministry. “There will be a reduction in the ex-showroom price of the Eco Ambulance, and the revised price applicable in Delhi will be ₹6,16,875,” MSI said in the regulatory filing. It also states that this change is effective from June 14, 2021 for vehicles invoiced by the company to dealers as well as vehicles invoiced to customers by dealerships. The Maruti Suzuki Eeco Ambulance is powered by a 1.2-litre, four-cylinder engine. This unit can make 72 bhp power and 98 Nm peak torque and is mated to a five-speed manual gearbox.
