Stock Market Today: Profit booking dominated the market, Sensex-Nifty closed in red mark, heavy selling in banking sector

New Delhi: After the day’s profit-booking, today the stock market has closed in the red mark. On the third trading day of the week, the market started with a good rally, but after the day’s ups and downs, the Sensex and Nifty closed with a fall. At the end of trading, the Sensex closed 282.63 points or 0.54 percent at the level of 52,306.08. On the other hand, Nifty closed at 15,686.95, down 85.80 points or 0.54 percent.

Top stocks in Sensex
In the list of top-30 stocks of Sensex, 7 stocks have closed with gains. Apart from this, selling has been seen in 23 stocks. In the list of top gainers, Maruti has closed with a gain of 2.33 percent. Apart from this, buying has also been seen in Titan, Bajaj Finance, M&M, HDFC Bank and SBI.

falling stocks
Kotak Bank, LT, Tata Steel, TCS, Axis Bank, ICICI Bank, HDFC, Reliance, HCL Tech, NTPC, Power Grid, Asian Paints, Infosys, Bajaj Auto, Tech Mahindra, Sun Pharma, Dr Reddy’s are among the sell-off stocks. Selling is dominating all.

sectoral index
If we look at the sectoral index, after today’s trading, buying was seen in the consumer durable and auto sector. Apart from this, selling dominated in all sectors. All including Bank Nifty, Capital Goods, Metal, PSU, Oil & Gas, IT and Healthcare have declined.

Buy/Sell Shares in Nifty
Maruti was the most buying on Nifty today and it closed at Rs 7432.10 with a gain of 2.29 percent. Apart from this, Titan, Bajaj Finserv also closed sharply. Today the shares of Adani Ports and Wipro were the top sellers.
