There will be a ban on charging arbitrary fees on ticket cancellation
If the central government accepts this recommendation of the committee and makes any law related to it, then air travelers will get direct benefit from it. This will stop the airlines from charging arbitrary cancellation fees. The committee is of the view that in the event of ticket cancellation, in no case more than 50% of the base fare should be charged. Along with this, various types of taxes on tickets should also be waived.
