The price of electric vehicles has come down after the EV Policy 2021 announced by the Gujarat government and the FAME-II subsidy revision by the central government. Recently, the Department of Heavy Industry (DHI) has revised FAME-II, after which the demand incentive for Electric Two-Wheelers (e2W) has been increased to Rs 15,000 per kWh, including the first plug-in There was a uniform subsidy of Rs 10,000 per kWh for all EVs. Which includes plug-in hybrids and strong hybrids except buses. Apart from this, the incentive for electric two wheeler cost has been increased from 20 percent to 40 percent now.

On the other hand, the Gujarat government has recently announced an incentive of Rs 10,000 per kWh for electric two wheelers, electric three-wheelers (e3W) and electric four-wheelers (e4W) in addition to the subsidy from the central government. The maximum ex-factory prices for the three wheeler category were kept at Rs 1.5 lakh, Rs 5 lakh and Rs 15 lakh respectively. The company said that, “With the price cut, the larger Ampere Electric scooters have also become more affordable and are now priced below Rs 50,000 in Gujarat.
