Dehradun. The CBI on Friday raided 14 locations of Hemvati Nandan Bahuguna Garhwal University (HNBGU) former vice-chancellor JL Kaul, his OSD DS Negi and other officials. During this raid, the CBI reached the homes and offices of these officers and investigated. It is said that the CBI continued the investigation till late evening and the investigation of all the documents continued.

Kaul, who was the Vice Chancellor between 2014 and 2016, has been accused of huge irregularities. There are also allegations that he gave university affiliation to many colleges by bypassing the rules and regulations and there were huge disturbances in this whole process. According to the news of news agency PTI, CBI told in a press release that in this case, raids were conducted at 14 locations in Dehradun and Noida including Srinagar area of ​​Pauri Garhwal on Friday.

What did the CBI investigate?
In the statement issued, the CBI said, ‘During this raid and investigation, three bank lockers of the accused were examined, in which some documents related to the case were found. These documents are important for those accused officers who are accused of giving affiliation to private colleges against the rules. The CBI said that the investigation will continue even further. Let us inform that earlier in this case, the CBI had registered cases against the former VC, his OSD, other government and private officers and six private institutions.
