Ingredients for making Puttu:
Rice flour – 1 1/1 bowl
Carrot chopped – 2 tbsp
Capsicum of all three colors – 4 tsp
Chopped coriander – 1 tsp
Grated fresh coconut-
salt to taste
Method to make Puttu:
To make puttu, first of all, sprinkle water on the rice flour and mix it. Add salt, chopped carrots, capsicum of all three colors and green coriander to it and mix it well.
Now put it in Puttu Kutti Vessel or Idli Maker and fill fresh coconut. Pour puttu mixture on top and cover.
Keep the container on the lid of the cooker and steam cook it for 15 minutes.
– Turn off the flame of the cooker. Open the lid and take it out and serve it with coconut chutney, sambar.
Note: You can serve it on a banana leaf to give it a South Indian look.
