Maruti Suzuki Dzire will no longer be produced in Manesar, know where it will be produced– News18 Hindi

New Delhi. India’s largest carmaker Maruti Suzuki has shifted production of its best-selling model DZire from Manesar in Haryana to Hansalpur in Gujarat. According to media reports, the auto giant has shifted the production of the compact sedan to the Suzuki Motor Gujarat (SMG) plant. Because he wants to use the Manesar location for his new model. Japan’s Suzuki Motor Corporation, a 100% subsidiary of SMG, established in 2014, will now act as a contract manufacturer for Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL).

When did production start?
Initially, SMG started production of the Dzire at its newly opened third plant at Hansalpur village in Ahmedabad district in April to share the load of the Manesar plant. Last year, SMG announced that the construction of the third plant has been completed and it is expected to start from April 2021. The company stuck to its deadline, and after three months, the entire production has been shifted to the SMG plant.

MSIL on an average produces around 1,000 units of the Dzire in a day. Like SMG’s first two plants, the third plant also has an installed capacity of 2,50,000 units per annum. The first two plants currently manufacture Maruti Baleno, Toyota sibling Glanza and Swift.

Maruti Suzuki has increased the prices of Swift and other CNG variants by up to Rs 15,000. The company said that the increased new prices will be applicable from July 12. The company has said that the price has been increased due to increase in input cost. The prices of other models of Maruti are also expected to increase soon.
