New Delhi. 7th Pay Commission: Today is the day of great news to lakhs of central employees (Government Employee’s). The Central Government has reinstated Dearness Allowance (DA). In the cabinet meeting, it has been decided to remove the ban on dearness allowance of central employees. Now government employees will get 28 percent dearness allowance instead of 17 percent. Let us know how much the salary of government employees will increase in September.

Know how much DA will you get?
To know how much your salary will increase, you should check your basic salary. Also after this check your existing DA. At present it is 17 percent, which DA has now become 28%. Hence the monthly DA will increase by 11%. Therefore, the DA of a Central Government employee will increase to 11% of their basic pay with effect from July 1, 2021. The same formula will be applicable for the calculation of DR also.

For salary calculation under 7th Pay Commission, suppose the basic salary of an employee is Rs 20,000, then his monthly DA will increase by 28% of 20,000. This means that the increase in monthly DA will be 11% of Rs 20,000 i.e. total Rs 2200. Know how much arrears will come
According to Shiv Gopal Mishra of National Council of JCM, the DA arrears of class 1 officers will be between Rs 11,880 to Rs 37,554. He said that if the level-13 i.e. 7th CPC basic pay scale is calculated from Rs 1,23,100 to Rs 2,15,900 or level-14, then the DA arrears of a central government employee range from Rs 1,44,200 to Rs 2,18,200. Will be between Rs.
The central government had increased the DA by 4 percent for January 2020. DA was increased by 3 per cent in 2020 and then by 4 per cent in January 2021, but employees were getting DA at the old rate of 17 per cent. The increased DA was stopped due to Kovid.
