How much interest is getting now
Let us tell you that earlier customers were getting 2.75 percent interest on balance up to Rs 1 lakh, but the bank has reduced it by 25 basis points to 2.50 percent. In the quarter from July to September, customers will get interest at the rate of 2.5 percent. At the same time, customers holding between Rs 1 lakh to Rs 2 lakh will get interest at the rate of 2.75 per cent per annum.
Earlier, customers had to go to the nearest post office to check balance, transfer money and other financial transactions. Now through India Post Payment Bank, customers have easy access to banking services.
